Odgps was very well received in the past 4 years.<br /><br />Frequent user feedback tells me that Odgps is a very helpful little program to many people all over the world.<br /><br />Unfortunately donations did not cover the expenses I have providing Odgps to the public. I had the choice of either taking it off the web or charging at least a small amount of money for it.<br /><br />Everybody who has either donated to Odgps in the past or contributed to it (like the spanish translation of the manual) get a free license. That's it.<br /><br />Here is how to do it in detail:<br /><ol><li>record a track using odgps. Please read the docs on <a href="http://www.outdoor-gps.de">www.outdoor-gps.de</a> for details on how to record a track.</li><li>connect the PDA to your PC</li><li>start up Google Earth on you PC</li><li>Maybe download the track to your PC or</li><li>use your file explorer to locate the track on your PDA - provided that you configured your pda to be seen like an external disk</li><li>drag the file from explorer directly onto the map of Google Maps.</li><li>The map will start to swivel to the location of your track and show it</li><li>Using Google Earth you can also find out details about your track like its length and duration of the trip.</li></ol><div>odgps stores its tracks usually in MyDocuments\odgps\tracks. It has been over three years since the last publish. I started a new job in 2006 and didn't get to work on odpgs. Also I there were no critical bugs.<div><br /><div>Aggregating the downloads on a few freeware sites that I know of suggests that odgps has been downloaded several hundred thousand times since December 2005.</div><div><br /></div><div>I received a lot of suggestions per email.
